Calculation Formula

Semester GPA = Σ(Grade Points × Credit Hours) ÷ Total Credit Hours

Example:

Course 1: Grade A (9.0) × 4 credits = 36 points

Course 2: Grade B (8.0) × 3 credits = 24 points

Course 3: Grade S (10.0) × 1 credit = 10 points

GPA = (36 + 24 + 10) ÷ (4 + 3 + 1) = 70 ÷ 8 = 8.75

Important Notes

  • • All registered courses contribute to GPA calculation
  • • Failed courses (F grade) significantly impact GPA
  • • Course withdrawals may affect academic standing
  • • Repeat courses: Higher grade replaces previous grade
  • • Transfer credits are excluded from GPA calculation
